Mambo

Mambo is influenced by the Cuban Haitians (in Haiti, Mambo is a Voodoo Priestes) and American Jazz. The Manbo grew from the Danszon, which is a cuban national dance. In 1943 the first Mambo was presented in Havana and many Latin American Orchestras picked up and developed their own style. Mambo gained popularity and momentum in New York just a few years later and enjoyed a long run of success. Due to success of Mambo movies and songs, this dance has regained its popularity.

The Mambo is a very exciting, spicy spot dance with a variety of moves which include turns, breaks, swivels, and spins.
